Im starting to build a portfolio of mini sites, just wondering who the best host would be?
Currently with Hostgator

I have tried HostGator, Planet Domain, WiredTree and DreamHost.

Dream host is a little bit costly ($100+/month), but I find it easier to manage everything. I'm sticking with them - One click installs make WP/Joomla install quicker and easier - but that's just me. (I am pretty sure all have Fantastico which does the same thing anyways.)

Yes but I have found some don't update Fantastico as often as others do.
I have seen some with joomla! 5 versions behind the latest update
