In the recent announcement Mr. Leptos said:
Let’s take a look at how much Mr. Boardman respects the Multi-Stakeholder Model. The Australian Internet Governance Forum (auIGF) ran for five years from 2012-2016 but it was canned when Cameron Boardman took the Job of CEO, and now Australian Continuous Improvement Group (ACIG) is attempting to take control over it.
Australian Internet Community – planning a way forward
Mr. Boardman was invited to attend the work group to participate in establishing a Multi-stakeholder internet governance forum but went missing. I would say, non-attendance means, he is not that committed to a multi-stakeholder model to discuss Australian internet community internet governance issues. [Mr. Leptos how could you]
Appalling, the Government Review noted; auIGF is to be reinstated by auDA.
Government review stated:
Mr. Boardman should probably tell AICG about the Government review directing auDA to establish this forum, re-activate it. AICG appear very keen to get it started as their own.
To this day, nothing has been made clear about what auDA will do regarding this recommendation. Stakeholder engagement is Zero, and the attitude of auDA Directors [the Board] flies in the face of recommendations 18,19,20 of the Government Review. [especially re: the recent announcement]
A deep respect for Multi-stakeholder model - that cracked me up. 100's of offshore members approved by the Board behind closed doors. LOL
The only Multi-Stakeholder Forum Members Get are Yearly 249D's
I know that Mr Boardman has a deep respect for the multi-stakeholder model, indeed he says it is the foundation on which auDA is constituted. read here

The Review notes that auDA undertook an assessment of its community activities and as of 2017, has ceased the auIGF and the ANZIAs, and the auDA Foundation remains under review.
- Given that the .au namespace is a public asset, the Review considers auDA needs to improve its engagement with the internet community and the Australian community more broadly.
- The outcomes of its review into its community activities needs to be completed and, in accordance with improved transparency, the findings should be published
- [18] That auDA develops a public stakeholder engagement strategy and implementation plan to articulate how it will engage with stakeholders in all levels of operation and decision making.
- [19] Through its Annual Report and at its Annual General Meeting, auDA should report on its performance against its stakeholder engagement strategy.
- [20] That auDA publish conclusions from its review on its community activities and publish an implementation plan on future community activities
