Looks like whois.org.au is up and running, albeit results to gTLD whois.auDA.ltd

Why this wasn't established prior to transition boggles the mind.

The prized gift whois.au doesn't resolve either. Having said that at least .com.au didn't fall over with the transition, it could have been worse.

The mirror site Whois.auda.ltd is still a site they control (as the registrant) IMHO it can't continue.

I think the are probably changing things right now

    "What's that frekkin setting #$%@#$!"

"Jeff, she doesn't resolve, what's wrong!"

(10 minutes later Jeff calls support desk)

"Hi I'm Jeff from auDA, we own the domain name www.whois.org.au, it doesn't work, how can we turn it on?"

Cheers, all I can see is a very small text link for whois right at the top (along with all the other stuff on the page).

I'd thought you'd be more of a straight man.

Anyway back to the farce this whois situation is.

whois.org.au isn't working for me (well, technically it is but it's redirecting to http://admin.auda.org.au).

Should I use one of these instead (probably not an exhaustive list o_O)?
    • whois.auda.org.au
    • whois.audns.net.au
    • whois.auda.ltd

Yeah. @16:00 redirects to admin.auda.org.au via FireFox & Internet Explorer browser
    whois.org.au works on mobile

Yes migrating domains can be bloody complicated auda. Which goes to my PRP submission and why there needs to be more discussion & education prior to tinkering with these things. Imagine what the intro of AU will be like. They can't even get their own sites right!
