I have already expressed my feelings about misspellings in my recent response to Discussion Paper "Review of .AU Policy Framework, 2010 - Names Policy Panel Discussion Paper, November 2010"

Today I noticed that on Netfleet there are 2 domains where I question their status:

1) epay.com.au

According to previous PD policy, that should go. I'm happy it's not going. Is the policy on hold? Did it change?

2) realestate.asn.au

Since when .asn.au could be sold? I don't like that.

e pay could be online payments...

Sure it is not a exact breach it is a render.

I'm sure ebay loves it  but don't get me wrong, if you read my submission to AUDA, you know that I'm against PD, especially of misspellings.

ePay might have a problem with it..

Putting e in front of a generic word wont help them with trademark rights.

Its well known that E meant online / e commerce etc. Years ago we wasted heaps on ethis and ethat

Always amazes me how some people think they own names and terms. Like Optus trying to register the trademark to the word YES, Orange ( hutchinson telecoms) tring to own the name Orange. THREE trying to own the term 3 and Three.

Next time you see some advertising have a laugh at all the TM's that are put next to generic words and phrases... A bit like Trump trying to trademark "your fired"
