Got this letter yesterday:
But the crazy thing is that although I'd pointed nameservers to Namedrive, I hadn't even got around to adding the domain to ND. Thus the website was just showing the generic standard ND page (like this - http://www.ndparking.com/test.com.au ).
Just seems to me to be a big waste of time & auDA's money, writing the letter, taking screenshots etc when the domain isn't even properly set up yet...
The subject stated that it was a 'complaint'
It has come to auDA’s attention that the above domain name may have been registered for the purpose of domain monetisation, and as such falls within the Domain Monetisation Policy (2008-10) at http://www.auda.org.au/policies/auda-2008-10/.
Paragraph 4.3(a) of the policy states that the “content on a monetised website must be related specifically and predominantly to the domain name”.
We have reviewed the website displayed at www.XXXXX.com.au. I have attached a screen shot for reference. Of the 66 monetised links that occur on this website, none relate to XXXXX.com.au. Therefore we consider that the content is not related “specifically and predominantly” to the domain name.
In accordance with paragraph 5.2(a) of the policy, you must modify the content of the monetised website so that it relates specifically and predominantly to the domain name.
You must modify your website, and notify auDA that you have done so, by no later than 5pm on 29 April 2009.
If you do not take action as requested, then we will instruct the registrar of record to delete the domain name for breach of policy.
The domain is completely generic in nature & was hand registered a few weeks ago. Paragraph 4.3(a) of the policy states that the “content on a monetised website must be related specifically and predominantly to the domain name”.
