Any tips for getting a domain on GoDaddy auctions?

There's a domain I want currently listed on GoDaddy auctions with a few days left. There are zero bids, very little traffic and a low price. I assume I should wait until pretty much the last minute to place a bid? And assuming I win the auction, can I expect GoDaddy to tack on any additional fees or charges? Is there anything else I should be aware of? Obviously my first time doing a domain auction.
