Adult Sites

Does anyone know the laws regarding the creation/running a Adult site from Australia? i.e. R to X rated.

I have an idea that I think could work. It wouldn't necessarily have to be hosted in Australia or have an .au domain or even be marketed towards Australians. But it would require the use of Australian models.

I know some adult sites have operated out of Australia before like http://www.abbywinters.com but the owner moved to Amsterdam ?

I believe there is a standard that some adult sites abide to, i think if you read the footer of some sites that have the 'enter/exit' option before you logon they might be conforming to these requirements. Sorry i cant think of the industry standard name but some sites have a reference in the footer. If you really must know, join up at gfy.com and you will get all the info you need, regarding australia specific i can't tell you

based on the fact you said "models" here is a byron bay site that sells bikinis, this certainly pushes the boundaries. this site has been around for yearsssssssssss and they have no "are you over 18 " on it.
