Region bank in the US accidentally forgot to renew their domain name regions.com leaving their customers unable to access online banking.

Chris Cox, head of Regions eBusiness, said the registration for www.regions.com expired over the weekend and was not renewed until early Monday morning.

“It was a simple human error, but it was a big one,” he said.

Their online response was handled very well.
