A different sort of "deals" site

I love the simplicity of this site.

To me, it's a great example of doing a "deals" site elegantly and simply.

It uses social networking well, and concentrates on one thing at a time.

Another great way to make money out of a website.

Spacey, I came across this site when I was browsing through Flying Solo.

They were asked the question: "why sidelines"? This was their reply:

We went with Sidelines because most of the product lines we purchase from distributors are from their aged/clearance lists so... lines that have been put to the side . Selling Surf/Skate/Street/Snow gear we're targeted to an active crowd so the links to sport with the word 'Sidelines' we liked too.

They have a good Facebook following, so I reckon they're doing it pretty smart. No big expenditure on their part. The KISS formula in practise.
