Not really. Often the usernames can give people away, but this time there were nine bidders and not one of them had a username which gave any clues! Of the people who actually contacted me, it would have been a fairly even split between financial advisers and internet marketers.

I can't comment on Hostgator, but the three hosts I've used for years and had limited issued with are: GD Webhosting AussieHost.com VentraIP Ventra would be the one I've had the least issues with, but they're all still pretty good.

Yep definitely have to start by noon, and many people say they also need to finish by noon. I don't follow the second part of that rule though.

Many years ago you were able to pay a fee at the department of transport and they'd give you the plate owner's contact details. They don't do that anymore, presumably for privacy reasons.

Maybe. I have a few short plates, and I do like short domains. But that may simply be because I happen to be interested in both domains and number plates.
