domainmarketplace looks good, except that they also include all TLDs and 2LDs to pad out the .au listings. The Advanced Search doesn't allow the filtering of domain extension which is an obvious feature that should be included IMO. Competition is a good thing though - will keep an eye on this...

No you don't need to have them with the same company - it's often advisable to keep them separate. The domain, DNS, web hosting, and mail can all be with different providers if need be.

Would be nice for interests sake however I don't think they'll end up doing it.

Yep, I agree. It's not a major issue but doesn't really make sense to an end user when you already have an account.

Could you please make the domain name in the standard catalogue listings show the entire domain? or simply extend the length of what's shown before the ellipsis? I tried to upload an image to show what I mean but I get an error saying "Exceeds your quota by 21.0 KB" - I have no attachments...

I'm getting an error in the Aftermarket Auctions - I am logged in (my details show at the top of the page). If I attempt to enter a bid I get a popup saying I need to be logged in to bid. What am I doing wrong? :(
