3 Digits Numeric AU Domain Names Worth Anything?

I need some advice on buying the 3 digits numeric domains. For example 123.com.au, 456.com.au etc.. Firstly, are they worth investing and secondly, are they marketable? Welcome your feedback, thanks :)

If it was something like 123.com.au it would be. For the average one I really doubt it, surely there is lots of available?

They have a poor history of enduser sales (have never heard of an enduser buying one in the aftermarket). Different situation in .com where the Chinese buy/use them.

Strangely enough. most numeric domain names with 1,2 or 3 numbers have been taken but never traded. Yet some were dropped or expired. Are these owners holding on to these domains for long term ? Yes, I noticed 888.com is Chinese domain for gambling but would they buy something 888.com.au for example?

Surprisingly Telstra have 1234/Com ....... very handy.

good point! Telstra uses it for domain redirect? For the elderly right? :) then 000/com/au should be used for emergency purposes. the point is, numeric domains can be useful if it is used for the right reason. what do you think?

888.com has been owned by casino-on-net for a couple of decade. The name would be worth millions. I doubt they'd be interested in 888.com.au but that name would be worth some money regardless, one of the best numerics in .com.au.

The typical "good" domain takes 100+ years to sell so someone owning 200 names might find a home for 1 in a year.
