On July 6, 2018, news first broke that the domain Crypto.com had finally sold. The former owner clearly stated in March that he would not be selling his highly sought after domain Crypto.com. Sources say a Swiss payments and cryptocurrency company paid $12 million for Crypto.com.

Just a few days after the sale of Crypto.com, it was reported that a deal was completed for Coins.com just a few days later. The buyer of Coins.com confirmed it was a seven-figure deal, but would not reveal the exact amount.
If the reported $12-million price tag is correct, Crypto.com will take the second spot on DNJournal’s “Top 20 all-cash domain sales of all-time” list. This puts Crypto.com right below the sale of Sex.com for $13 million back in 2010.
