.app Extension Pros and Cons

Pros:

• Available

Cons:

• Confusing
• Limits the website to only 1 type of online presence (much like .mobi)
• Google unlikely to put much effort into promoting it (much like .mobi)

Give it a year and people will be talking about .web. Thankfully that extension is the end of the line for new tlds.

Not a fan of .mobi or .web, I think .app has a much clearer use case.

He seems to often get excited about new tlds (when they first come out), .mobi, .club and just about every other one.

Rick bought hundreds of domain in gTLDs such as .bargains, .watch, .vacations, .center, .systems, .photo, .tips, .management, .contractors, .limo, .support, .directory, .graphics, .ninja, .construction, .florist, .domains, .lighting, .repair, .recipes, .institute, and many more.

I think he is taking a bet and them going to zero will have minimal effect for him, but new tlds are always bad bets. Why even play in the casino?

Probably paid a premium for a few keywords, spare change bets I guess. Seems like pump and dump stuff. I wonder if he grabbed Flowers/App?
