auDA to Cripple Business

Yes I agree....People and Commonwealth Government are waking up now to the scam and mismanagement... The times they are a changing....

Ian Halson ( Lemon) loses support and auDA Board Director position by overwhelming demand for change....

Old auDA Board members who pushed for another .au mostly gone as auDA members wake up demanding change, proper consultation, accountability and transparency from auDA process....

The highest member vote count in the history of auDA has shown massive majority support for Nicole Murdoch and Ned O'Meara.

While I don't agree with how Lemon got a (short standing) position on the board... the two members that are now on the board are:
Nicole "Is on the board and stopped posting to the people that elected her" Murdoch
Ned "Been gagged by the board" O'Meara

auDA needs change - I can't make that happen but the elects certainly haven't been able to change things either.

auDA is not working.

auDA and some on the Board ARE muting certain Demand Directors and trying to get rid of them... People are keeping notes and records..

Why do you think the Demand Class Director is still vacant after so long? Rigged

Errm. I agree? auDA needs change...

auDA may very well not want to fill the spot - the constitution will catch up with them there.

You seem to be very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the Board.
Where do you get this information from?
Afilias won with a 60% lower price bid
Is this a fact or fiction.

Ask auDA Management someone like Cameron Boardman, or Afilias or some Registars for confirmation....

No use asking the auDA Board who are all muted completely. They are not allowed to talk to auDA Members or anyone anymore.

3.2 Activities
Without reducing the effect of clause 4, auDA will see to achieve its principal purposes as set out in clause 3.1 through:
b. establishing mechanisms to ensure it is responsive and accountable to the supply and demand sides of the Australian Internet Community;
c. the promotion of competition in the provision of domain name services;
d. the promotion of fair trading;
e. the promotion of consumer protection;

f. adopting open and transparent procedures which are inclusive of all parties having an interest in use of the domain name system in Australia;
g. ensuring its operations produce timely outputs which are relevant to the needs of the Australian Internet Community.
(Amended by Special Resolution, 14 August 2006)"

Considering it would be commercial confidential information I find it highly unlikely that this information would be available outside of auDA.
So are you throwing numbers out of the blue or is it a fact.

Every post is the same pro supply side stuff about how high costs are in Australia, the registry price may not be able to come down much, and how auDA shouldn't disclose the wholesale price.

classic example,

https://www.dntrade.com.au/threads/...ere-are-the-decreases.11719/page-2#post-90642

So what what do you now make of the wholesale price more than halving?

A fantastic win for consumers - assuming its all passed on etc.. etc..
If the new registry can do it cheaper, GREAT! If it costs less for all, GREAT!

I am simply unbiased.
I am of the assumption that costs disclosed are correct and allow for a business to make profit at the same time.
I am advocating change - for consumers and business alike.
I am advocating transparency - lord knows we haven’t seen that from auDA.
I am not simply one-eyed looking for the lowest cost deal - lowest cost is normally low for a reason - if the new registry is providing extra service at a lower cost then... GREAT!

I will. I will verify if this information is factual and if it is public.

If it was public it be here with the links

FYI The current .au wholesale prices are on the Public auDA website with the breakdown.... Wholesale Registry and auDA fees/ charges.

If the price is 60% lower from Afilias what will you do then... anything? Ask for it to be public....nothing?

"Tonkin confirmed that the back-end fee auDA will be paying Afilias is less than half of what it is currently paying Neustar — the unconfirmed rumor is that it’s 40% of the current rate"

"It’s not known what price Neustar bid for the continuation of the contract, but I expect it will have also offered a deep discount to its current rate."

Keep digging your hole... Your TopSEO'S post where you where having a go trying to discredit Jim Stewart and www.stewartmedia.com.au for not being on that scam paid for website has received an update :)
http://www.stateofdigital.com/topseos-kill-the-hypocrisy-its-time-to-take-a-stand/

Advertising itself as an ‘an independent authority on search vendors’, the marketing material distributed by TopSEOs seems to suggest that a top ranking on a TopSEOs list is a mark of quality. This is, of course, a big fat lie, as rankings on TopSEOs can simply be bought. The more money you give TopSEOs, the higher they will rank you.
