What's new

Any value at all in these sex related domains?

Purchased these a few years back..
sexybabes.com.au
sexybabe.com.au
porno.net.au
sexsexsex.com.au
teensex.com.au
Do they have and value? If so, please give me some idea.
Thanks!

Yeah they sound hot but do they have any traffic and can you legally run much on a .com.au given Australia's laws on Australian hosted adult site?

Do you have a link to share regarding adult hosted websites, can't say I have heard of this restriction before

Would need to look at non Australian hosts, probably US.

What is prohibited offensive online content?

Prohibited offensive online content is content that would be classified X18+ or RC (refused classification) by the Classification Board. Material classified R18+ is prohibited if it is not subject to a Restricted Access System, while content classified MA15+ may be prohibited in certain circumstances. In Australia, online content is regulated with reference to the National Classification Scheme.

Prohibited offensive content includes:

  • depictions of actual sexual activity between adults
  • videos showing very high-impact violence
  • footage detailing offensive sexual practices
  • material providing detailed instruction in crime.

Thanks for the replies.. So you think they would not be worth anything at all right now? Maybe I should just let them drop, but as they only cost peanuts to keep I may hang onto them for another 2 year at least. in the future the laws could change and they may be worth something rather than nothing (probably wishful thinking).

I think it is potentially a waste of money, even if the laws changed the names are not overly strong and it wouldn't necessarily mean the market for adult domains would improve much. Probably worth trying some kind of auction before doing anything.
