If you had one Bitcoin at Coinjar.com at this very moment you could cash it out for $2,869.80, directly to your bank account.

Oh, and yes, I've done it.

I've never met someone who got in at 7 cents, however, I have met a couple of people who got in fairly early.

One guy had over 200 Bitcoin that he acquired in the $15 to $30 range. Unfortunately, he had them all at the Mt Gox exchange when it collapsed and lost the lot. He now works at a Melbourne based Bitcoin startup.

The other person was a young bloke from Canada who bought in at $5 a coin. He just saw them as an interesting new technology, not a way to make money, and thus spent most of them. From memory, he had about 10 to 15 left.

i think for me its i had a BADDDDDDDDDDDD experience with "bartercard" when living in brissie so i am a little uneasy about the whole thing, i lost a fair bit of money for something that really didn't exist.

but good luck to anyone willing to try, i think its truly gambling so " don't bet what you aren't willing to lose" , just like domains i guess.

Did the prediction come with a suggested time frame?
Not that I recall this was 2013ish it was by some bloomberg dude as I recall.

On that note, the latest prediction buy the owner of Snapchat is $500K per coin by 2030. Which basically means 5% of the global population will be using it.

300 years.

Reminds me a bit of the dow 20,000, 100,000 predictions, you can predict whatever you like one day it will probably come true, even the Dow 7000 predictors would have got it right given the last crash.

Did you also read that very old book written by men bored with life, ultimately a dead end yet, they continue to rely on this theory.

When we first started talking about btc on this forum they were $130 each. Keep grinding .

Oh and the original post in this thread was $900k each not $90k

Either way I am happy to ride the wave. If it crashes I will only be cut I didn't sell earlier but I've spent more than 0x that amount on premium domains and they are yet to show the same kind of return

You were talking up bitcoin (in this thread) in early 2014 when the price was $1300 AUD (ironically the last time Bitcoin peaked). The market soon fell 80%. I do not believe for one moment that you got in early. Gambling mentality with all this.

First post BTC traded @ $514.24 USD Nov 13 [if held, 6 bagger]
Remember, The drop was initiated by China's warning to banks + several BTC exchanges BTCXchange + MtGox collapse - since then BTC has stabalised albeit, China is hissing at the same comments made today as back in 2013 whilst today BTC is hyperlinking into the exchanges and the Japanese are really getting involved, new bitcoin ATM's are rolling out...crptocurrncy blockchains are emerging everywhere, so much more.

I think there was another thread before this one. Maybe I am thinking of one of another forum.

Sure, I like the gambling analogy. In this instance we call it implied pot odds. As I've said, I'm ok with losing my investment on a gamble, I've lost more on domains but I've never had an investment grow 2271.15% in 4-5 years. I did lose half my investment during a break up.

On a lighter note, there's another SEO I know who hs been boasting about his btc portfolio and also just moved into a $900 a week city apartment. LOL. Well he may actually have had a decent size, mine however is small enough for me not to care but care absolutely should they go ridiculously high
