A couple of .com domains from memory, it was a while ago.

They're not competitive against any of the other drop catchers, so it's basically a waste of money.

Don't waste your time. In my case the domain name expired and after waiting 2 days for them to order it for me I hand registered it myself. It was a .co.uk domain name.

You did well to hand register it with the myriad of drop catchers there are in the .uk space.

It was a few years ago and I wanted to register it because I had applied for a trademark for the word. After going through all of that I had a few life issues at the time of renewal so I let it drop and I see now that Garth Piesse holds it.

I was just having a look back through my old invoices and I was obviously annoyed with Crazy about that one because I actually hand registered the name through Godaddy in the end.

its not their best service, i've been told ( not that i asked, but..) that "after a domain expires (drops) it takes a couple of days then i can register it !"
thats about how much they know about drops.

What's the best option for backordering a .com domain? I had success with Snap Names last time but that was back in 2012.
Fabulous.com has a little banner at the top of the page that says this domain has expired, and when I check the whois it says expiry date was January 4, 2017. Cheers.
