4 adwords above the organic results

This morning I'm getting 4 adwords above the organic results, and no adwords down the side. Anyone else seeing this?

Could be a good thing if you're into SEM, but not so much for SEO now that the number 1 result is being pushed even further down.

Sometimes I get about 3 at the top, it varies depending on the search. Maybe they are experimenting with the 4.

Having said that the organic side of things will get worse and worse, for Google it is a revenue leak that they are gradually plugging. The only reason for organic listings to exist is for searches that are commercially worthless or near to.

I've seen the 4 as well. Though one of them was ctc

Couple of other recent changes/testing:
*potential infinite scroll - Last week I was getting 10 pages of listings on 1 page. To me this seems to be an OK win for SEOs and CPC but no idea how it will play out
*removal of search by location. - This one is playing havoc on local search, see comments here http://www.advancedwebranking.com/b...-removal/?_ga=1.256968908.63020571.1449209852

The second choice is now verbatim. Which throws up results without local listings and some hugely different rankings. Not sure what the point of it is yet.

Off topic from the original post, but related to your point below... I really don't like infinite scroll. I like to reach the bottom of the page, and if it loads more I actually click away from the site. Just throwing it out there.

Yeah for many head terms theirs a lot of ad units 3/4 range on commercial terms, google trying to squeeze more $$$ from the serp.
thing is people will still opt for organic queries and use a large number of organic queries.
Money still to be made in organic, many verticals are just too expensive for some business owners.

Soon there will be no organic results on page 1 for the big earners.
I wouldn't be surprised at all.

The one positive of getting paid working well for you is that you no longer have to worry about algo changes, and you know if you pump a certain amount in you should get a certain amount back.

Still, I'd much rather be getting all free organic traffic...!
