What's new

Financial Market

It's been a while since I've thrown my hat into the ring, so here's one I bought not long ago:

FinancialMarket.com.au

Thoughts?

It is a nice sounding name, so on the upside, it sounds to me like a news site, or blog. Not sure what someone would pay. Seems like could be worth some dev, maybe?

Thanks everyone for the comments, some good points raised.

Snoopy, I hadn't really thought about it like that, but I can see your point.

Spacey, I've got 'TheFinancialMarket.com.au' as well, although I don't think that's what you meant by adding a third word.

Peter, I do have an approach in mind for development, but I'm already stretched pretty thin across my current projects, so for now it will remain on my parking/monetisation platform.

Not worth anything undeveloped. It's catchy though.

There is a website I've seen advertising on social media called "solar market". I don't mind it.

Yes that it exactly what i meant, just seems to be one of those addresses that would sound better that way ..... The Facebook ..whoops

Thanks for the comments.

I like 'market' domains, they lend themselves to one of my preferred business models. I paid quite a bit more for another 'market domain' which is currently being built into a business.

I guess it's all about finding the right "Target market" or simply a "New market"

Absolutely. I have a set of criteria and if something comes up that ticks all the boxes, I'll consider buying the domain. I aim for established, lucrative (but also competitive) markets, rather than niche markets or attempting to create entirely new markets.

I'm not buying much anymore though, as I'm pretty happy with my current holdings (and there's only so much time in a day!)

So right to do so, and arguably it is currently a "Buyers" market

Clearly I wasn't paying enough attention, as it's only just dawned on me that your phrases conveniently refer to domains in a rather large domain portfolio ;)

You're welcome to send me your list of 'market' domains, I'll let you know if any of them grab my interest.
