Just an update re this issue.

I have spoken to Mark and i have decided i will pay the invoice as long as an option to lower a bid in the future is added which he agreed to do.

I think this will be good for everyone :)

Hi Morgan

I really appreciate your understanding and I can assure you this feature will get added in less than 2 weeks.

It is a good feature I agree, and happy to provide.

Thanks again Morgan, hope you have a great day

Cheers

If you're happy with that, then that's the main thing.

I think that's pretty rough, especially considering the money you've spent with them over the years.

Well i am happy that this has caused them to rethink their current policy where you can only increase your bid. I think its a small price for me to pay to provide a better system for everyone else :D

Netfleet implementing a new customer requested feature or followup to support enquiries? Not going to happen.

cheapfights - could be something that aggregates fight videos from Worldstarhiphop and then you can run boxing ads against it =)

Has this been actioned by Netfleet as yet? I had the same issue with bidding on a typo but could not change my bid.

No it hasn't, despite numorous emails from Mark Lye saying it would be completed in late August. Netfleet did not come through with their promise so i have refrained from using them.

Will also be moving all domains from them when they come up for renewal.

I don't like when people do not honour their word.

Well it's happened to me now too, I ended up with a mispelling. Ironically it's 'Amatuer.com.au', which is exactly what I feel like right now! :p

I checked the spelling, but not thoroughly enough. It's such a common mispelling that lots of sites use it, so my quick scan on google wasn't sufficient. The alarm bells rang not long after I submitted my bid.

I sent a support ticket to Netfleet.com.au early this morning, but naturally received no response. I also sent an email directly to Mark, but didn't hear back yet (and now the auction has closed...so clearly it's too late!).

I didn't bid much, but it's still very frustrating. In an effort to limit the cost, I put a low bid on Drop.com.au, but alas they didn't catch it (as an aside, they don't seem to be catching much any more).

Yet another lesson learnt - don't bid if you're in a rush and TRIPLE CHECK spelling!
