I got a business card in the mail and couldnt resist posting up the link amazingchristiansites.com/ ....the marketing potential could be there....online confessionals etc.....be born again and get a re-birth certificate (at a nominal cost)...lolz.
Okay okay, I shouldnt make fun. There is definately potential for money making opportunities with religious domains and development...people have been making money from religion for years. Many orginisations do have rather large production companies for movies, promotion etc as well so if you were to really study how some of these institutions operate I'm sure there are very profitable opportunities available.

Have owned some and always done ok out of them (maybe 4 names), these are .com & .net though. Having said that I bought them all from the same buyer at different points of times (he was a bit rash in the way he sold stuff), and two of them went to the same buyer who is well known for buying this type of name, so maybe I was just in the right place at the right time with them.
I would imagine it is a very different story in Australia. It need the emotional type buyers for this as they are unlikely to make economic sense. Would be very wary on .au's, even very strong terms.
