New to Domains

Hey all,
just stumbled on this forum. A lot of valuable information here and I have a lot of reading to do!

I have recently developed an interest in ecommerce (as a result of studies) and have taken the leap, what started as a couple of domain names is building into a small, but amateurish portfolio of published websites.

Still trying to find my way and I dont have a lot of background in HTML etc but I do have a few ideas and what I hope are/will become premium domains.

Anyway, thanks for the forum and for reading!

Hello Mickjohn :)

Welcome aboard and just when you think you are learning....like me, you realise you know about 1%. But thats good.......when you learn 60% more, think how successful your sites will be:)

Cheers.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I am starting to wonder, is it hard just to park domains in places like Sedo, Fabulous (if you meet their criteria) and the like until you want to develop your domain yourself..... Does anyone really generate any income, even a couple of dollars?

I always see those landing/parked pages and never click anything on them, does anyone?

Some get clicks, can't say they get enough to be worth it but a few dollars here and there...

It's not hard to park a domain, but don't expect HUGE dollars because that won't happen, (unless you have a killer premium domain).
One can park them until they get time to develop the domain into a website of some usefulness. Developing a domain into a site ASAP is a bit of advice another member on Dtrade once said; and they're right. ;)
Parking also allows you to gauge the domain names traffic.

Does anyone click on parked pages? Yes.
