Hi thanks for the emails. Have brought the odd flower domain (amongst others) for flower affiliate marketing. Maybe a dead market! A tough market! Singo has invest rather heavily and it's a big market - without 1 Big household brand. Look forward to people's thoughts on the industry?

Ah - now we can all get back to it then. Cheers N!

I thought, and I'm guessing Andrew too, that it may have a been a pre-cursor, or tease leading finally to a story regarding the online florist business, with a twist of lemon :)

Thanks for the info online1.

I don't know much about the flower affiliate market - but for some reason assumed someone related to TV (Bourke et al.) would have it. Singo makes sense. I'm curious now to look into it more.

Shane Cultra is the only domain person I know of who may be full of valuable ideas for you:

He is into fauna [edit: oops - I meant flora] .com domains - so may be worth seeing what he's doing.

Cheers!

1300 guru, Jack Singleton, buys online florist – FastFlowers.com.au

Jack Singleton is renowned for the success of his business selling unique 1300 phone numbers that translate into easy-to-remember words (1300 Go Harvey, for example).
But 1300flowers is a number that he has retained for himself.
Singleton uses it to run and operate a successful phone and online flower selling business that has just got a lot bigger.
With last week’s acquisition of fastflowers.com.au, Singleton’s flower business has doubled or tripled in size overnight.
And Singleton clearly intends to grow the business.
Interviewed online last week (at switzer.com.au), Singleton said within the next year or so he expected to have 10 to 15% of the total Australian delivered flowers market.

“The delivered flowers market in Australia today is worth $250-$300 million dollars and 1300flowers is looking at having around 10-15% of that within the next twelve months.”
