I'm sorry that you feel that you have to leave the forum because of this. I followed this and the other thread though can't say I played close close attention to the posts so don't necessarily remember them.

The reason that he's saying what he's saying is that the site does not look that great and the logo is very unprofessional, and yet you spent a few $100 on a secretary and 1300 number. What him and others are trying to get across is that for you to make money on this you need to spend money on the things that count. A 1300 number isn't going to make as big of a difference as a profesional looking theme and profesional logo etc.

Sorry Shane guess we got off on the wrong foot.

How did a site review end up as a thread like this ?

The comments in the sales threads left a lot to be desired as well

Many smart people here know better

Gotta remember your words stay on the net and are perhaps used in reference by someone in the future and when the shoe is on the other foot it will hurt you as well

Are we trying to drive members away ?

Certainly not....but people do normally offerhonest opinions and sometimes it can hurt (I know from experience).

Things didnt get too out of hand, the "children are playing nicely" and all is well :) lol

It simply proves that people have different opinions on the way things are done, or not done and as such, outcomes arent always what you expect.

Ok I wasn't going to say anything more on this thread but I feel I have to let others know the issue was never the opinions or the negative feedback.
Sure I don't think a highly brand able 4 letter generic domain in consumer electronics such as televisions is worth $0 whether it be .net. net.au .com.au .de .Tv or even .info a .info was recently sold for $70,000 btw, anyone that thinks that any 4 letter generic name is not worth anything should not call themselves a Domainer IMHO.

logo sucks fine I got one made need a phone number and address, done.

Must be worth something seemed to get more attention then other threads but no one has tried to seriously appraise the domain lol

Anyway the site has been changed to a TV streaming site because I know how to run these get traffic to these and most Importantly make money out of these, Without having to do a lot of customer service which is why I gave up running eCommerce sites in the first place, not because they're not profitable, they certainly are if ran correctly.

Thanks for listening now go watch some tv

P.S

wonder how much traffic this thread has got ....

Good on you for hanging in here xwdomains. :)

I know you copped a bit of criticism over certain issues, but from my reading of it, none of it was meant to be a personal attack on you. Just honest opinions - which you sought by posting in the site review section.

We don't condone "flaming" at DNT, or personal attacks or abuse.

Here is how a thread ends up this this.

A person comes along with no clue, makes bolds statements and pretends they know what the are talking about, then argues with everyone and talks about insults, rude people, unprofessional conduct etc when people tell them the site is basically worthless and there claims are wildly exaggerated.

The person then has their day in court (ie the auction finishes) and that court of public opinion confirms that the development is rubbish. Instead of admitting the obvious they threatens to leave, have another tantrum, and proceeds to their own appraisal, except this appraisal is on the people who have bothered to give them accurate feedback.

So you suggest this drives members away, I ask do we want namepros standard of discussion or something more that? If someone walked into a real estate conference or any other meeting big noting but with with obviously no clue and was shot down in flames would that be a problem? Why is it a problem here?

So we've gone from selling TV's to streaming Family Guy, The Simpsons etc..owned by such companies as Fox and not hdtv.net.au.
