Online Television Shop

What do others think of my Online Tv Shop

Logo is just horrible. Apart from that it's a base Open Cart that I wouldn't touch due to the attitude of the developer.

I hope it all works out though.

I think your chances of selling a TV are zero.

  • The logo is terrible
  • There is no company name (who am I buying from?)
  • The about page is blank
  • The delivery info page is blank
  • The extension doesn't give me confidence
There is nothing about the site that would give me the slightest bit of confidence in handing over my credit card details.

I hate to sound so negative, but I really think it would be delusional to believe that someone will buy a big ticket item from this website.

Sorry...

Sorry...

Its not supposed to have any of that as I am not running the site

its a work in progress I as just asking about the look all the details would be filled in later so the logo sucks yeah I wasn't to fond of the logo either then again I am no designer and I have sold ecommerce electronics products on a worse looking site using opencart many of them with a totally unrelated domain even a .info lol

However

hdvt.com.au is valued at $17000 by valuate also powered by estibot

this is the only tool that domainers use as a close estimate

I valued the domain hdtv.net.au at 50% of the .com.au $8500

This also takes into account the phrase local at 74000

I could of had a parked domain or thrown together a website I chose the later

it will soon have a 1300 number and a office address

Then I'll decide whether to run it or flip it as I don't have enough time at the moment really to run an eCommerce site

I would however be interested in a partner that thinks they could run the site successfully.

Valuate/Estibot valuations are a JOKE even for gTLDs' let alone Aussie names
google.com $1500
sedo.com $10K
dnTRADE.com.au $120
and not forgetting my favourite
abc.net.au $55

And your site will do well.
Good Name

If you honestly believe the above three lines you've written, you need to seriously reassess you approach to domaining, otherwise you're just going to waste a lot of time and money.

http://www.dnforum.com/member-jimbob.html

been doing this for awhile I use phrase and exact local match

which are 74000 for phrase exact match 590 Local

and 4,090,000 Phrase match Global Exact match 110,000

valuate is only part of the metric I use and it values the actual domain at $40

however valuate are not to good at valuating .au names neither is estibot
_________________________________________________________________
.net.au is the 2nd TLD for .au with only .com.au sitting above it valuates estimate is probably pretty close

Domain Details:
Domain: hdtv.com.au
SLD: hdtv
Keywords:
hdtv
[ change ]
Language:
Polish - 93%

Category: Other -- Generic 4-letter

Appraisal Overview:
EstiBot Value: $ 17,000 USD
______________________________________________________________

Taking all above metrics into account I have divided the estibot value by 2 and I am not the only .au domainer who does this there is quite a few for .net.au if this was at .com it would be valued and sell for xxx,xxx

its a four letter Generic name that has many brand opportunities and can be used for any sub domain niche or keyword such as buy.hdtv,3d.hdtv,full.hdtv,watch.hdtv etc etc, all extensions are taken.

Do you have an example of a similar site putting this to good use?

I see so many say that's a good way to use generics but I never see it done.

christmas.hospitalityline.co.uk <----- This site is putting the method to use

also your earlier question it cost around $120-$250 to setup the 1300 Number and business address depending who you use and what state city you want the address in.
