Hello and good day to you all :)

My name is Michael Wolff and I stumbled upon this website ... umm.. god knows how really haha, but I did.

I run a website design company http://www.wolffproductions.com, working mainly with wordpress and wordpress themes.

I take care of domain registration, hosting, website creation and maintenance/updates, so see it as a full service company :)

It is quite exciting to be a member on this forum because just by having posted one thing, I got a lot of help and comments already in such a short period that I genuinly believe there are a lot of nice people on this forum, and who couldn't use more nice people in their life?

Thanks for having me,

Michael Wolff

I see plenty of 'automated sites' and assume they are using something like this ??

http://twitterfeed.com

It's not a plugin but it reads your RSS and allows you to repost it onto twitter/facebook/linked in etc :)

I don't really like plugins for that because they all seem to add their own icon and their advertisement link to your news updates.

"Jetpack" is an amazing plugin set that comes with wordpress.com hosted sites. When you have your own standalone wordpress website, this is not included however, but you can still download it at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/. It is supposed to have a Cross-Feed option built in very soon (which can already be found on the wordpress.com hosted sites), and this one is going to be amazing!

Another plugin is called Network Publisher, which can be found http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/network-publisher/ <-- there. I think that one has its own icon and link attached to your facebook posts, but honestly I have not checked to see if I could remove it.

New thread space cadet!

Ten things going on at once

The content would come via a rss feed from whoever supplied the option i guess

There are some paid for wordpress plugins that offer youtube videos on the chosen subject

Just imagine if we could fucking edit our posts .......what a wonderful world it would be

This is the only forum where the next day when you notice a mistake you made but cant just ammend it

.......rather annoying

anyway one more question, regarding the link you gave it that actually a google site i wonder ?

I'm looking into this very slowly, because I'm a bit busy.

So far I found one plugin to create a page with RSS feeds, and a plugin to automatically create content through social feeds

Not a google site.

But someone cleverly using adsense for search maybe :)

Thats what i was thinking

Regarding feeds, one example is with virtualbooks/com.au is that i manually load the code as an article which as you can imagine takes time

thanks for all help thus far

Spacey, Spacey, Spacey - what do we do with you? This is broken record stuff mate - we've covered this before, before, before .........

The previous Admins allowed 15 minutes to edit - we now allow 30 minutes. We also offer personalised editing of sales posts / threads. We're very accommodating. :)

Seeing you quoted song lyrics at me i.e "what a wonderful world it would be"; I'll quote my own to you:

"That's the way it's gonna be little darlin'" (Daryl Braithwaite - The Horses).

Peace! ;)

After much success Daryl ended up working for the local council ....let's avoid quoting him

Point being the next day is not an unreasonable time to amend something

....sounds like control issues ?

There were lots of posts on this Spacey. When we took over we adopted the previous owner's guidelines. But we also asked for feedback on this policy, and most members that replied were in favour of a short editing window. We extended it from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

This doesn't seem to be an issue for 99.5% of members. :)

If you ever have problems with editing in future, we have assigned Paz to you as your own personal account manager. ;)

Spacey, if you have a problem with the edit feature, then you can leave. These are the rules, they aren't going to be changed, get over it.

Why would you want to automate wordpress blogs from RSS feeds, its recycling content creating a useless website, where is the benefits for the visitor?

Yes leaving is an option, that is true, at least i took the time to meet the people here

Regarding exploring a rss feed situation who says the reader is going to see the content elsewhere ??

Who says to whole site is going to be set up a rss feed, one scenario is that one particular subject can be enhanced because there are better qualified people offering the content ...... depending on the supplier

It may be that one page is set up as a feed .......this is why i am asking the question
