SEO question - keyword domain URLs

Quick question on keyword domains and URLs...

Say you had the website brisbane.com.au and were creating a page targeting the phrase "brisbane restaurants", which of the following would you use:

1. brisbane.com.au/restaurants

2. brisbane.com.au/brisbane-restaurants

Would it make much difference in terms of SEO?

Cheers

the second one and some would argue better without the hyphen.

I would rather choose the first one because you already have the exact keyword "brisbane" on your domain. The first one also looks more simple and user-friendly.

I think the second option is better to use if your domain name is not exactly "brisbane".

better with out the hyphen?

Then that would make it "brisbanerestaurants" in search results.

No one would search for that term.

The hyphen is a good 100%

I agree, putting a hyphen is good if you would consider the second option. It's more readable.
