Hi Timmy. Just liked DN Trade Fan Page. Great start. You already have more than 40 fans. Hope you'll get more.

@Link: You shared a great tutorial. Very detailed, easy to follow and implement on Facebook Page.

Liked. :) Looks good.

Have you considered getting twitter? I know someone has taken your username (a domainer, by the look of www.twitter.com/dntrade 's only follower), but it's really handy.

Would like to, but noticed our exact name had gone. There is dntrade1 available, or we could go for dntradecomau (bit long). What do you think?

Excuse my total ignorance about Twitter, but is there a way to see when someone registed a Twitter name? i.e. what date.

Cheers, Ned

You could always try sending a message to the person who set it up (again presumably) http://twitter.com/liammackay and he may forfeit the username?

In regards to the date of registration; not as far as I know unfortunately, neddy.

I think dntradecomau is good to use if you can't able to get your exact business name.

I'm also not aware of that. But you can try these tips:

- Try to contact the Twitter User (Dntrade) by sending him a message to see if they will give it to you.

- If this doesn't work. Since the account is not active, try to contact twitter and ask them to look into the matter. You should provide the evidences that you have the right to the name (trademark, etc.) - http://support.twitter.com/groups/3...s-my-application-s-name-is-already-registered

I'm still at a loss why twitter restricts how long your username can be.. it's so ...restricting. You could have dntrade.com.au if it wasn't for the char limit.

You are missing out on the power of "Like" because your FB page info is blank
Therefore people who Like dntrade on FB, only get the title of your page (and nothing about what DNtrade is) on their wall
That means friends of the people who clicked like , may ignore the link to the DNtrade FB page because there is no text to say what it is all about

Thanks Joe - Timmy is our FB expert, and he is going to fix!

Cheers, Ned

I believe Facebook ignores the 'dot' and recognises any variation of a 'user.name' that includes a 'dot' as just 'username'.

e.g. u.sername = username, userna.me = username etc...
