The username / password boxes seem to go too far to the right. IE7 8 9.

The top header image extends outside the header area IE7.

Otherwise looks good.

thanks johno ...
yea, im going to have to modify that login module or use another one, if I keep it.
the overflow on the banner is because its a bit wider than the [div], but gets hidden normally.

Ive checked it in ie8 and firefox 3.6.15 sofar. Its always great to get feedback from people viewing it in othe browsers.

I use IE9 but use the dev tools to backwards check.

The header is out a fair way tbh.

The input boxes will be an easy fix. Just reduce the size slightly.

I like the layout though. Nice work.

Yea, the site was about 90px wider but I reduced the width without actually changing the size of the banner.
I think the input boxes actually use images as a background and need to shortened.
Will have to delve into the css when my brain isnt so fuzzy.

Your content is all taken from other places on the web.

Your SEO is not going to work very well if you do not have unique content.

Thanks James

Yes, as Ive stated on the front page of the site, it comes from a number of sources. I do use a program called 'content mania' to modify the content to avoid it being an exact duplication. All the content is at least 20% different to the origonal.

How do other people develop content ?
Write it yourself, re write existing content or pay someone else ?

All three!

A lot of people outsource content writing to places like oDesk. You can get 500 word articles done for $5 or less. Bit of trial and error involved in getting good writers though.

Then there is www.textbroker.com - well worth a look.

And then there are content spinners - turning your one article into quite a few! Got to be careful with quality though.

Above all, the biggest thing to do is use Copyscape to check that your writers are supplying you with original content. If they don't, then you don't pay.

Im now starting to look into some SEO for the site. Ive found one person advertising they will add the site to 3077 statistics and whois websites for $29. It also says backlinks will be indexed in Google's database, slowly not all of them at once.

Or for $199 they will garantee google page 1, then $39 a month to keep it there.

To be able to do that many links they must use some kind of automated process ?

Started another site in the series http://ezyelearning.com/
Content wont be a problem for this one as one of my associates is the foremost authority in the country on e-learning.

Im going with a standardised look for the sites with a slight change to banners.

Feedback and advice appreciated.

Learn to do it yourself and understand how it works because the large majority of seo services are snake oil and you can't spot them if you don't know how it works. Proprietary SEO is probably my favourite bullshit seo claim there is. SEOmoz and SEO Book are the best places to start. You may also want to start with 'The Challenge' but I am not so sure it's something I would recommend due to all the bullshit products that are upsold in that course and a propensity to market them in a dishonest manner.
