And happy to report it was absolutely painless. No bugs or problems at all (not that I expected any....!)

Not forcing people to register should be a good move too esp in the short-term. Little like gumtree I found.

I ride my bike from St Kilda to Albert park... and a few days ago I saw a van on Inkerman street between chapel and st kilda road with the adv for barterbuysellswap.com.au ... and i'm thinking wow... i've just read about it on here.
So i just wanted to share this with you people.
