What's the minimum exact match searches you want your search term to reflect?

Also, if a search term is 'australia' and brings 9,000,000 exact (exaggerated)
if available, would australiaaustralia.com.au be good?

Simply doubling the word?

It really depends on the keyword and sector for me as to what is the minimum number of exacts.

No, doubling does it make it any better. You could have any keyword followed by Australia. I would try and create a brand instead of repeating the word. ie myaustralia.com.au

Go with your gut and if you think it has value, register it and flesh out a site. Testing and succeeding/failing will give you experience and that's worth more than another persons opinion by far.

Do you mean you are going to register it or buy it?
What exactly do you mean by 2400 exacts?
How do you come up with that figure?
What is the extension?

a lot of you new guys are asking questions that cannot just be simply answered

as far as i am concerned there are very little adult names worth much in the .com.au extension

you are aware that you cannot just on sell it ........6 month rule , have a look at netfleet and see how many adult terms are being sold ..... not many

as mentioned previously nearly all domainers have made mistakes so it's not that straight forwards , every one has to learn and mistakes are part of it , cryptic questions are hard to answer

I could be forgiven for thinking you are guyp back as another member ????

to answer you opening question i can live with 250 searches a month, some categories are quite niche

Agree,

Have one that I've been trying to sell for some time, smut.com.au, have never had an offer for it or any interest...ever. Even put in the ad that it is desperate sale to try and get some interest.

A domain value is more than just its search volume.

The biggest problem with so many adult domains is when you take the keyword phrase of the domain and do a search in google.com.au (unfiltered) you get international result. Turns out Google reckons most Aussies aren't necessarily looking for local porn.

;)

My tip - ask yourself is this domain able to have a small business built around it? Do I get Australian search results when I do a search in google.com.au? Are there lots of Australian advertisers in this niche?

Personally I'd sooner buy AdultToys.com.au before GroupSex.com.au despite "group sex" have over three the number of phrase matches that "adult toys" has because Adult Toys you have a sellable item and most Australians will look to buy from Australian retailers.

The value of a domain always comes back to the potential value the person buying can derive from the domain. So if you can't see yourself developing the domain into something that would generate value then you are probably going to struggle to convince someone else who's intellegent that they could.
