There is definitely some value mixed up in that motley crew of domains!

It will be interesting to see if a couple of them can managed to get into the $XXXX territory.

The problem is that most people in Australia use the term shares, stocks is more of a US term.

I can't see any of them cracking four figures, and I reckon a few of them won't sell at all.

Nothing that exciting for me personally. Good if you have an idea of building them up, but not so much for holding onto imo.

I just saw this:

ozdomainer.com.au

LMAO... is Ed on vacation?

And more importantly - will anyone make him work for it?

:D

BuyingStocks.com.au
StockMarketAnalysis.com.au
StockMarketCharts.com.au

I reckon these three have a chance of getting to the $1,000 mark.

StockMarketAdvice.com.au
StockMarketStrategies.com.

And I'm expecting that these two should get into the $XXX range.

I do not think these domains are worth XXXX$,

Best two are (market index) (Invest Stock)..

Others do not seem that great.

OK I have just finished doing all my due diligience for the domains that are dropping tomorrow and in hindsight I might have been a little ambitious on a few of those domains.

I still think that the best of the above bunch are:

BuyingStocks.com.au
StockMarketAnalysis.com.au
StockMarketCharts.com.au

Though think they are probably more likely to finish in the $250 - $500 range than the $1000+ range.

I personally don't think that MarketIndex.com.au or InvestStock.com.au will do that well in comparison to the above domains.

The domains that are probably worth watching the most will be:

Annuity.com.au
DataMigration.com.au
ResortPhuket.com.au

I think Annuity.com.au has good potential to go to $XXXX though I think that Data Migration and Resort Phuket are wild cards given their search results have a more international focus.

Annuity.com.au isn't bad, but I think the percentage of people outside of financial services who would know what annuities are would be extremely low.

Out of the 'stock' domains the highest one didn't even hit $100...

If you replaced 'stock' with 'share' the results would have been a lot different.

I think in terms of development it just isn't going to be worth it for any of those names, eg something with 100-200 searches a month, when you are starting with a potential audience that small development isn't likely to produce much of an ROI. Have a strong interest in this niche but those names are never likely to be worthwhile.

I seriously thought they would have gone for more. Oh well.

I ended up low balling on most of em - but got sniped at the last second.

The volumes are definitely low, but I thought that given they are in high value industries development was borderline justifiable, plus some of the names just seemed brandable to me.

Then again I might be biased, I graduated in Economics and love investing. I would spend at least 10 - 20 hours a week reading about economics and world stock markets. Maybe this is where my over valuation comes from.

You have to get domain buying right but as said you can purchase like 50 domains which seem "good" yet in the Australian market they are probably not worth it.

In the US market these domains would probably be better, in AUS not soo good...I was doing some of my own research before and their are still decent share domains in AUS to be hand regged if people want them...better then these domains listed...

@Snoopy, I bet Shares.com.au is a different story - hope it's going well.

Hi Timmy,

I've had it a long time it is gets quite strong traffic from type ins and repeat visitors, threads about individual companies getting indexed and also the more broad keyword terms (like shares).

Still I'm a long way from really monetizing it well I think. Having said that I didn't do much with it for a long time other than letting it run itself.
