I noticed that yourhomedepot.com.au has been purchased this month for $2.9 million by Shoply. It turned over 12.9 million last year with profit of 1.2 million. This makes me wonder how much appliances online is pulling in.

i have never ever heard of them ! , never been to their site until now, so wow ! it does make you wonder.

I'm glad you mentioned that because before I read the news I'd never heard of them before either. That's why I'm surprised by the turnover and can't find them on google search for home or kitchen appliances so I'm not sure where they get their traffic from.

Obviously as a Non-Executive Director of Shoply, I cannot say too much more re: the acquisition apart from what has been made public, suffice to say the Board believe that this is an exciting opportunity for us and adds to the mix of online ecommerce websites already acquired.
