$1 million for the company is a rubbish bid because he has already put $1million of his own (including friends/family) in to it - so he wouldn't have netted anything.

Got a decent deal in the end. To be honest I would have been tempted on the $4million plus 10% royalty.

Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance and that guy seemed to have all his ducks in a row and knew exactly what he wanted. Good on him.

Of course the big question mark I have is what is it like to wear them... that will really determine their success.

    Interesting episode Tim

He's obviously looking for the sharks contacts to open doors to the North American market, as well as other global markets.

Reason is that with a $8mil order, you can bring that to a bank and easily get the funding needed to produce the products - so no need really for the sharks money.

Though the $4m + 10% royalty is tempting, as it would have been a nice tidy sum upfront, plus enough in there to motivate him to continue growing the business (since it is his passion).

Oh well, continue sharing any other interesting episodes then Tim!

johno69 got me onto it and i am hooked. + there are other programs like it

funny thing is this morning i was negotiating a deal i REALLY wanted and half way through the guy was going to back out because i wouldn't take his terms, shark tank kicked into my mind and i managed to pull it back and got the deal i wanted.

HONEST , i've learnt alot about negotiation from that show, when to hold and when to fold !

i think i would have taken the 4 mill and then gone off and thought of my next big idea whilst sitting overlooking the ocean in my new house and drinking a cold beer.
