Morning!

So Netfleets search results are taken directly from Google adwords keyword tool -

"Exact
The Exact metric is taken from Google AdWords, and shows the average exact local search volume on Google per month, for that keyword(s), for that country (Australia or New Zealand)."

They states that worldcup.com.au has an exact search of [110,000]
I found this hard to believe so I did my own search and found -

[world cup] Global - 90,500 / Local - 5,400
[worldcup] Global - 5,400 / Local - 260

Perhaps the search results are being added from both keywords alone ie [world] + [cup] ? :/ either that or im doing something wrong and if so ive been doing it wrong for the past 3 years ha.

Drop states that worldcup.com.au is receiving [9,900] which makes a little more sense, Perhaps Netfleet is using search results from when the WorldCup was actually on :p

Hi Jono

Just checked this out - it was originally a Standard Catalogue Listing, and you are correct, the metrics were gathered in March 2011, and takes the average search volume from previous 12 months - which was when world up was on.

We clearly need to refresh this data - however I guess it gives you an indication of what to expect for the 2014 world cup :)

Cheers
Mark
