Will .com.au owners be notified by email when they are able to claim a .au domain?

Hey guys,
Does anybody know if .com.au domain holders (who are, if I understand correctly, generally first in line to claim the corresponding .au domains) will be notified via email when they are able to register the .au domain? And will they then be given, from the date of the email, a certain period of time in which to do so?

Good question... and considering how many automated Emails often end up in people's junk folder, a lot of people are not going to realise when their .au is available.
