It is funny, and I noticed the same thing today when putting together an autoresponder series I see the copywriter has referenced some drivel from Associated Content, most likely after doing 0-1 second(s) of "research" on the topic.

Reminds me of the article "Filthy Linking Rich" by Mike Grehan, i.e. pages that rank highly will attract a disproportionate number of links, and therefore reinforce their rankings, not because of the quality of the content but because people are lazy and reference the first thing they find on Google.
