Very sad day

We have lost five diggers in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours.

Total dead jumped from 33 to 38 in one go.

Our Kiwi friends also lost 3 soldiers in one go last week - and 2 a couple of weeks before that.

Very, very sad.

Guys, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have perhaps started this thread.

I didn't mean to turn it into a political statement. I just felt very sad for the families and friends.

Many years ago I was in the ADF, so my view is perhaps shaped by that.

I'm going to close the thread. Sorry for starting it.
