    Hi all,

I'm currently using Pingdom and some internal tools (Nagios) for monitoring, I was wondering if anyone else has any recommendations for uptime monitoring tools like Pingdom?

I'm looking at monitoring a few sites and I don't mind paying a few bucks for something reliable.

    Cheers,
    Chris

One thing to keep in mind when monitoring from overseas services to anything in AU that you may get false positives if they don't check from a local location. :)

I have heard good things about Wormly. Spoken with several others in the industry and it is highly recommended.

    I like uptimerobot.

good point Mick, I have this issue in some disputes around SLAs, and it usually turns out that the monitoring service is in the USA or UK etc

Thanks, I've been looking for a good free monitor. UT Robot looks pretty good.

Yet another one to add to the list, it looks pretty good:

    http://sensuapp.org/

It's written in Ruby, can use Nagios plugins and it has a bunch of other features.
