Over the weekend, I made the switch to PHP7 for a few clients on VentraIP, all went very well :)

I only had one minor issue that was sorted out quickly, turned out to be an older WordPress plugin that needed patching.

If anyone else is taking the plunge, some more good info here:

Nothing yet @Cooper Mills DomainLawyer -- the minor issue was an out of date WordPress caching plugin. These are all WordPress sites, so all good so far.

    Im using php7 working great.

It doesn't support memcache though, But instead a different Cache, opcache.

"OPcache improves PHP performance by storing precompiled script bytecode in shared memory, thereby removing the need for PHP to load and parse scripts on each request."

An update for anyone running PHP7 and W3 Total Cache, there appears to be an issue with using CDNs.

I had an issue with one particular site and ended up stumbling across this post:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/w3tc-php7-and-cdn

Switching back to 5.6 resolved the issue. Haven't had a chance to look at why, I need to get it sorted, so will post update here when I do.

I've had to roll back to php6 because of incompatibility of some software I wanted to run from my server.

    Yes, no WHMCS yet.

This was a membership platform, so had to revert back to PHP 5.6.
