Update - bidding format & Lite version

Hi All,

We have taken on board the many comments, both positive and negative, that we have received on the “hidden bids” auction format. Many liked the fact that early bids did not highlight domains to their competitors. Quite a few of you were frustrated by messages informing you that your bid was too low.

As an experiment we will be reverting to a more open format - Domain bids will remain hidden, until a second bidder attempts to place a bid.

Effectively this opens up bids for popular domains, while giving bidders the opportunity to score a bargain for less competitive domains.

As an aside, thanks to the long Easter weekend, Tuesday sees possibly the largest drop list yet – Should you experience browser issues, please feel free to use the “lite” version of the auction interface at https://www.drop.com.au/auction/basic.php

Love the word spacing but the .au at the end seems to be missing from some domains.

Just a guess, but it looks to me like the .au is not in the list you are using to recognise the keywords, and therefore not being recognised, whereas the .com part of the domain is.

Introduced a bug it seems. We are trying to automate the featured domain lists etc... Should be fixed shortly.
