"the 'a b xyz' trust"

Heya.

Sometimes when I do a whois search on a domain I get these type of registrants coming up. Seems to be at least half a dozen regulars.

One that comes to mind is the ---- trust.

Am not too familiar with co. formation at the moment, but why a trust (other than flexible income distribution)? Anybody know of sample trust docs? Are there trust structures that are optimised for domainers/webdev sorts?

Hi,

My understanding...

With a company in Australia directors can be held personally liable if a company owes.

If you have a trust, or a trust formation of a company you (as a director) will not be held liable.

Trusts also have different tax structures.

Your accountant will be able to give you a more detailed explanation.

As far as I knew a limited liability company was responsible for its own debts (it's own legal entity)?
