Telstra outage

Did anyone else get affected by this about 15 mins before the auctions ended? They had a national outage on their phone network and some DNS issues.

Bloody annoying, I couldn't get my bid on NF

Pretty much everyone (unless you're with optus) was affected by this. International links went down. Weird though that you couldn't access netfleet as they're hosted in Australia.

My mobile phone is with vodafone though. It went out as well? (data service). Does Vodafone piggy back on Telstra's network?

Yeah strange. I could still access drop periodically.

To make it worse my optus mobile had difficultly loading NF in the last few mins.

It was funny ringing Telstra and getting a dial tone though.

It's bloody Dodo's fault according to this!

We got hit by it.

I was talking to a mate in the Telco industry today who was explaining that Dodo's error was a very basic stuff up, but what made it worse was Telstra failing to put in place a basic preventative measure, which would have prevented the outage
