I typed in unusual news as a google search and found my blog site

www.worldne.ws is in number 2 position on the first page !!!

there are 17,600,000 results for unusual news

Gotta be happy with that considering its just a simple plain looking site

The hack name is worldne.ws

Although i used unusual news as the keyword for the site

As for traffic , the site was lucky to get one view a day in january when it started and now i am getting 15 - 20 views a day and about 5 of those come from the search for unusual news , although not big figures its just nice to know that if you try something it may just work

The alexia ranking has gone from about 4,000,000 to 2,150,000

I think because of the number 2 spot the traffic will stay steady and hopfully grow

Just some fun and maybe a little learning with this site

One thing i did do was write 2 articles ans submit them to ezinearticles.com

They allow you to put a link to your site in the article and if it is picked up by someone you get the extra link

I have seen one of the links as a referer to the blog

And i didn't concentrate on a major keyword .... too hard

I chose unusual news instead of world news

My ratty old blog has now had a facelift and i am pleased to say although i have hardly looked it for a month it is number 1 for google.com.au search for unusual news
