Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple, has died.

Apple's board of directors put out a statement confirming Jobs' passing at 10.34 am Australian eastern standard time.

"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," the note said. "Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. Rest of story

Wow... what a terrible loss for the world.

I think no matter what you think of Apple, you have to admit that he was one of the great leaders in the computer industry and without his influence through Apple we might still be waiting for some of the features we take for granted in our computers today.
I guess no one but those close to him realised just how sick he was when finally left Apple.
