Spam blog v monetisation policy

There's a rather large thread on whirlpool regarding wme. One user, whom I believe is registered here as well is going after them quote furiously.

He points to their buying drops and turning them to spam blogs. He also states he has referred their domains to AUDA.

Out of curiosity only (I'm in no way affiliated with Wme) would wme be able to use monetisation clause for buying these drops? I haven't checked the sites but I presume they're linkbuilding > getting paid.

Or would they need to ad Adsense or similar ?

Again, I have no affiliation with either but it did spike my interest as I found a spam blog that appeared to be passing a lot of juice to a competitor (of my clients) website. Not that I'd report them.... Iii just work harder until they get hit

If the links have no close relationship to the domain name the domain can be PD

It happened to me a couple of years ago.

I've been following that thread too, it's a real eye opener!

More and more of their shonky practices continue to be exposed almost daily, while the owner continues to defend their "Australia's most trusted" claim, and ethical white-hat practices.

It also raises the question of whether 'reputation management' should be outlawed altogether....
