Ok what's the deal? To add a photo we just insert a image url. Does facebook not work?

I just uploaded it to one of my websites root, no clue on facebook, logic says its just a URL path ! but I had 3 goes at it as well

For anyone struggling with getting their Facebook or Instagram images posted to the forum, remember to get the URL of the *actual* image and not the page you're on.
