Had some plans to build a price comparison site for this, then garage sales, all involved data collection though.
The closest domain (shopper.com.au) for comparison is owned by NEWS LIMITED
I have been acquiring domains for a few years, wondering if the market has matured enough to be worth selling yet, I don't really follow it, so an idea on price would be great.

Well a brandable .com.au will need some big cash behind it to get noticed and the shopping space it very competitive so don't expect too much, mid to high $xxx is my guesstimate,good luck

I don't think it is worth anything more than a couple of dollars. I wouldn't be paying renewals on this if you have no plans, better spent on something of clear value. Would try the people at localshoppa.com.au and let it go if it can't be sold to them.

Plus people may think they heard "shopper" and go there instead, as mentioned it's a big marketplace and would take a heap of cash to become known as a leader in this space, some folk may not like to think there might be traffic bleed to another site, i think .com.au brandables are quite risky. I do like brandables but not much in our extension

i think snoopy and spacey are correct, its only a "brandable" and you should have deeeepppppp pockets.
as i have said before " drop it, and if someone makes a million from it rest assured they spent more millions making it happen "
save your money and buy better domains.
SHORT EMD's i feel is the way to go. mispells are dead unless you have mega money to brand.
longtail withour good content is also dead IMO.

Tim to me Shoppa is not a miss-spell .......it is a brandable, however is there an element of confusion? .........You Betcha!

The reason something like shoppa.com would get bidders is not due to "idiots bidding", there is company's using the term so it has resale potential.
