Just saw this article published on Internet Retailer, and thought it worth sharing.
I know next to bugger all about SEO, but this shows that Google is prepared to take on even the big boys for doing the wrong thing.
They pinged Overstock recently for using links that were outside of Google’s natural search guidelines.
Overstock says the penalty—a drop in its Google natural search rankings—has resulted in a 5% drop in revenue, (according to the retailer's filing today with the Securities and Exchange Commission).
